Candice Patton has been with The Flash since the very beginning, giving life to DC's iconic intrepid reporter Iris West-Allen as her husband battles the evils of Central City as the Scarlet Speedster, but it's only in the last couple of episodes that it feels like she's been given the material she truly deserves.
That's not to say that Patton hasn't been brilliant before, because she has proven herself a force to be reckoned with on a number of occasions. However, it's only now that the material is matching that talent, as recent episodes have centred on Iris as she attempts to investigate the mysteriously villainous organisation known as Black Hole.
With a truck load of mystery left for the season to uncover, it's highly likely that this is only the beginning for Iris West-Allen's shining moment, and as a result, we should prepare to see Patton continue to impress in the long overdue leading position.
