10 TV Character Deaths Fans Still Aren't Over
2. Lexa - The 100
As the Commander of the Grounders and a strong warrior, Lexa was one of The 100's most complex and inspired characters. First appearing in the show's second season, she was shown as a loyal, emotionally distant figure who proved a tricky figure for Clarke and the Sky People to understand and trust.
Eventually, though, Lexa and Clarke formed an amazing relationship that was as twisting as it was genuinely sweet, and Lexa became one of the show's most likable characters.
It was a serious gut-punch, then, when she was shot dead by her close ally Titus, who had intended to kill Clarke but missed. Lexa's death caused wide criticism for its lazy plotting and general lack of necessity, and remained a major sore spot with fans right up until the show's conclusion in 2020.
On more of a plus note, Alycia Debnam-Carey was able to return to the show in the series finale, which was a welcome surprise - even if it didn't make up for Lexa's unnecessarily tragic and all-too-soon death.
