10 TV Characters We REALLY Didn't Want To Die
7. Seymour (Futurama)
Why is it when animals are involved it makes it even worse?
Futurama was a great TV show and to this day it is still criminally underrated. The show managed to produce great television time and time again, seen with the much loved and forever heartbreaking episode, Jurassic Bark.
As suggested in the title, the episode focusses on Fry's dog, Seymour. Fry and Bender go to a museum exhibit and discover a dog fossil on display. Fry manages to get hold of it and ends up taking it to the Professor. The Professor concludes that the fossil can be cloned and that Fry and Seymour can be reunited. Before the cloning is complete, the Professor tells Fry that Seymour lived until he was 15, meaning he lived for a mighty 12 years after Fry was infamously frozen on the 31st December 1999. This then leads Fry to change his mind believing Seymour to have forgotten about him.
Now here's the worst bit.
We are then subjected to a flashback that shows Fry telling Seymour to wait for him until he returns. As we now know, Fry didn't return because he was frozen. However, poor Seymour waits faithfully for his owner to come back, staying there for 12 years until he lies down for the last time and closes his eyes.
Crying yet?
