Why It Was Undeserved

As far as mobsters go, Bobby Baccalieri (Steve Schirripa) was a pretty nice guy, and certainly the criminal least-deserving of a grim death across the show's entire tenure.

Despite the violent nature of his employ, Bobby only ever killed one person during his time under Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), and clearly felt awful about it.

Karma catches up with him in The Sopranos' penultimate episode, however, when he gets whacked on the order of New York boss Phil Leotardo (Frank Vincent), being shot more than a dozen times by two hitmen while looking at model trains in a toy store.

You can certainly argue that Bobby knew exactly what he was getting into, but between his reluctance to kill and his oddly sweet, childlike nature, particularly in his final moments, this one really hurt the soul.
