10 TV Fates Worse Than Death

5. The 100 - Forced Into Cannibalism

Game of Thrones
The CW

Post-apocalyptic teen drama The 100 turns surprisingly fun and engaging after a mediocre first season. By Season 5, the stakes are high and the show examines numerous intriguing sci-fi concepts.

One such speculative high-stakes situation involves a sizeable percentage of the main characters (and plenty of extras) sheltering in a large underground bunker in an attempt to survive Praimfaya (the second apocalypse, triggered when the world's nuclear power stations went into collective meltdown after centuries left unmonitored).

Unfortunately, until the bunker's inhabitants know that the outside world is survivable, they're trapped inside, locked underground for years on end. Pretty soon, their food supply begins to run dry, and when that happens there's only one viable option if they want to survive: eating each other. Being forced to turn to cannibalism in order to survive is a grim fate, especially when the human meat you're being fed is shaped into little cubes of jelly.

It's grotesquely amusing to watch, but imagine being locked in a confined space with no escape in sight, being forced to munch on your mates? Now that's what I call having friends for dinner.
