10 TV Lines Actors Refused To Say

8. Jane Fonda Wouldn't Take The Lord's Name In Vain - Grace And Frankie

Not entirely unlike Angela Kinsey, the great Jane Fonda is a devout Christian and didn't want to take the Lord's name in vain while working on the Netflix comedy series Grace and Frankie.

According to the show's co-creator Marta Kauffman, a scene called for Fonda's character Grace to say "Jesus Christ," but Fonda was uncomfortable invoking Christ's name in such a way, and so asked that the line be changed.

Kauffman quickly complied, though was quick to insist that this was an easy revision to make, and not one which should suggest the screen legend is in any way difficult to work with. Kauffman said:

"These four actors are the most professional, glorious people I’ve ever worked with. I love them. So when they have an issue, it’s not that they’re being divas... It’s not that they’re being self-important. They have a real issue."

It's a tiny, insignificant change in the grand scheme of things, so why not do it and keep your A-list star happy?
