Now, technically Ian Wright isn't really an actor considering the sports pundit effectively just played himself during his periodic appearances throughout Ted Lasso. However, he merits inclusion on this list regardless considering that he rather hilariously refused to speak one line of dialogue while shooting the third and final season of the Apple football sitcom.

According to Phil Dunster, who played footballer Jamie Tartt on the show, Wright was supposed to say "You know, it’s gonna be a tough game for Richmond because Tottenham are a great side," but having previously played for Spurs' rivals Arsenal during his own football career, Wright simply couldn't bring himself to be so complimentary towards them.

Dunster claims that Wright additionally said, "I can’t go back to north London if I said that," and so the line was altered to something else.
