10 TV Posters You Won't Believe

1. The Well-Endowed Squirrel - The Great British Bake Off

At first glance, this poster produced for the 2020 series of Channel 4's hit reality TV show The Great British Bake Off seems totally tasteful and appropriate - until you look at the center-top and notice that squirrel.

If you look closely, the squirrel's comically over-sized genitalia is clearly visible - penis and testicles, that is - serving as a cheeky reference to the fact that the show routinely featured glimpses of a well-endowed squirrel from 2011 through to 2015.

In 2016 the squirrel was replaced with a more palatable pheasant, and that was that. But this year, someone at Channel 4 evidently wanted to have a little fun with the prior alarm by kicking it off all over again.

The ad may not have graced any giant billboards, but it was featured on the back of newspapers and at bus stops, giving unsuspecting viewers an up-close glimpse of a squirrel's, er, nuts (sorry).

Though the image was demonised as "pornographic" by some viewers, Channel 4 responded with an hilariously po-faced rebuke:

"The squirrel in the poster is a fair and anatomically accurate likeness of the squirrel who appeared on the show and who will be fondly remembered by Great British Bake Off fans."
