10 TV Posters You Won't Believe
9. "Bloated, Overprivileged Brentwood Jews" - Family Guy
Ever one to court controversy, Family Guy took aim at the Hollywood elite with a series of posters sent to Emmy voters in 2012, after trade publications such as Variety refused to run the ads.
One of the posters read "Come on, you bloated, overprivileged Brentwood Jews. Let us into your little club," and another said, "It's a secret ballot. You can still tell people you voted for Modern Family."
The poster campaign was largely an effort to get the show recognised in the Outstanding Comedy Series category, where Family Guy is just one of two animated series in history - the other being The Flintstones - to ever be nominated.
But the campaign ultimately fell upon deaf ears with many voters, who felt that the posters were offensive if not lazy coming from a comedian as smart as Seth MacFarlane.
