8. Joey's Injured Arm - Friends
Friends' season three episode "The One Where No One's Ready" features a memorable subplot in which Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) fight over a chair.
In one scene, the two literally end up racing to sit in the chair first, with Joey launching himself over a coffee table to land in it before Chandler.
However, Matt LeBlanc ultimately got a little too into the scene for his own good, and so what we saw wasn't a smooth, controlled leap into the chair, but a genuinely competitive, desperate leap to beat his co-star to it.
The result? LeBlanc ended up genuinely dislocating his shoulder, which the live studio audience thought was just another gag in the scene.
Though the take of Joey's injury wasn't included in the final cut of the episode, this did nevertheless result in Joey inexplicably wearing a sling for the next two episodes - because Matt LeBlanc genuinely needed to wear one.
