10 TV Seasons That Are Practically Flawless
7. Westworld: Season One
Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's reimagining of Westworld into a sci-fi epic was an ingenious breath of fresh air when it first aired. It has since delivered two more seasons which are strong in their own ways but lack a focus and tightness that was so prevalent in Season One.
Set in the near future where the rich and powerful can visit a theme park with life-like androids walking around that they can do with as they please, the show is heavy on the philosophical questions about consciousness and free will.
With an incredible cast including Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright and Anthony Hopkins, Westworld grounds itself in its characters in order not to lose the viewer to its lofty debates. The storylines are all interwoven together and the number of twists (because there are many) that work perfectly, far outweigh the ones that have issues.
Westworld's first season will get in your head and stay there for a long a time.
