10 TV Show Finales That Totally Divided Fanbases

4. Two And A Half Men

For those of you with insider, behind-the-scenes knowledge of Two and a Half Men, the production hell encountered will not be a mystery to you and thus, this finale certainly won't be either. But for those of you who were as stupefied as much as you were shocked by the callous nature of this ending, contextualising this randomness is imperative for you to understand why this crazy ending exists.

During the first few seasons of the show, issues were experienced, but only very minor. However, once Charlie Sheen's radically transgressive lifestyle began to get the better of him, in a highly publicised relentless collection of benders, feuds and other mishaps, he was promptly removed from the show.

As one particular feud between Chuck Lorre (the showrunner) and Sheen overshadowed the show, even after enlisting Ashton Kutcher to replace Sheen, Lorre remained spiteful towards the shamed star. The fans, however, were the true victims of Lorre's wrathful, proverbial middle-finger.

As a Charlie Sheen lookalike - shot only from the rear - rings the bell of his old residence, he's greeted with a free-falling piano akin to a roadrunner cartoon.

It's fair to say some fans were in hysterics, while some remain livid over the petulant reaction to this day.
