6. The Tip Of Pikachu's Tail Isn't Black - Pokémon
To this very day, there are many online who will swear on their mother's life that, in the original Pokémon animated series, Pikachu had a black tip at the end of his tail.
While a quick Google search reveals that this clearly isn't the case and Pikachu's tail is almost entirely yellow - save for a brown segment at the bottom - that hasn't stopped some insisting that, at some point in time, Pikachu did have a black-tipped tail, and that it must've been changed at some stage.
But this absolutely isn't the case, and though the many Photoshopped images and fan art drawings of Pikachu with a black tail don't help clarify the matter at all, this is most likely a case of fans confusing his black-tipped ears with his tail in their minds.
Even with Pikachu being one of the most iconic and recognisable characters in all of media across TV shows, video games, movies, and merchandise, it's impressive that such a distinctive aspect of his appearance continues to be misremembered by so many.
