10 TV Show Scenes Actors Hated Shooting
7. Emilia Clarke - Game Of Thrones
As Queen of the Dragon's Daenerys Targaryen, Emilia Clarke made her mark on pop culture. She has the benefits that come from playing an iconic character without the type casting.
One of the quickly formed stereotypes around Game of Thrones was its pushing of gratuitous nudity (a HBO staple). Much of this is based on the first couple of seasons, and much of the most talked about nude scenes were Clarke's. The actor has made it known that she didn't like these nude scenes, describing them as "terrifying." Though, one particular scene stands out.
In "Book of the Stranger" (Season 6, Episode 4), Daenerys celebrates her supremacy over her Dothraki captors by walking naked through a blazing inferno. As a scene it was powerful, yet upon seeing its inclusion, Clarke was filled with instant regret.
After her parents commented that she wasn't "doing much in this season,” Clarke urged them to tune into the explosive sixth season episode. Her parents were mostly unfazed, with her father's response being a simple, "Again?"
This was actually Clarke's first nude scene since season three. The actress was ultimately proud of the scene (parental shock aside), assuring fans it was all her and not a body double.
