10 TV Show Scenes Actors Hated Shooting
6. Naya Rivera - Glee
One of the breakout stars of Glee, the breezy show that ruined music charts for a few years, Naya Rivera's character Santana Lopez went through a lot during the show's six seasons.
From a minor cliché cheerleader antagonist to a well-received LGBT character, Santana never lost her sharp tongue. However, the actor behind Santana regretted one particularly brutal and ranting monologue.
During "Jagged Little Tapestry" (Season 6, Episode 3), after Kurt (Chris Colfer) objected to Santana proposing to her girlfriend Brittany (Heather Morris), she let him have it. In going in on the character Kurt, the script also called for insults about Colfer's appearance with emphasis on his mouth, which is compared to a "cat's ass" that looks like he removed his "top row of dentures every time [he] smile[s]."
In an episode of the Showmance podcast, Rivera named the aforementioned rant as her least favourite "messy moment" on the show. She described it as "mean" and recalled:
"[...] it blurred the lines too much and I remember him being upset about it, and me just having to do it over and over and over again. I was like, 'I'm sorry I didn't write it.'"
