Someone should really check in on The Wire star Idris Elba. If the rumoured Bond ever wants to play 007, he’s going to need to take better care of his spine and stop carrying lame sitcoms like Netflix’s Turn Up Charlie on his back.
This one season wonder followed Elba’s eternal bachelor and DJ as he was forced to stop shirking responsibility and grow up by becoming the nanny to his friend’s problem child.
That was it in terms of plot, and whilst predictable sitcoms shenanigans ensued in due course, even the effortless charm of Elba wasn’t enough to keep this dud afloat for more than a few middling instalments.
