8. October Faction
Based on Steve Miles’ cult comic series of the same name, October Faction was another one season Netflix effort whose inventive monster design and clever premise couldn’t save it from uninterested audiences.
Set in a small upstate New York town and employing the directorial talents of music video legend Director X, this series followed a pair of monster hunters working for a secret society as their teenage kids learned their dark secret.
However the angsty family drama and R-rated content didn’t fit the Amblin Entertainment style premise, alienating many critics and leaving audiences cold. Still, at least fans will always have the comics to return to.
