10 TV Shows DC Should Make Next

3. The Question

Most of these ideas are pretty high-concept, but the success of the likes of Arrow ('s first few seasons) and Daredevil proves there's nothing wrong with a classic gritty non-powered vigilante. If DC are on the look-out for another of those, then their best option would be building a show around The Question.

As with the best vigilante stories, a series about The Question could derive a lot of drama from exploring the character's morals. In the comics, Vic Sage views situations in black and white and follows a strict code of ethics - he's the loose inspiration for Watchmen's Rorschach. Likewise, he has a cool unique look that's begging to be brought to life - his mask gives the appearance that he has no face.

Alternatively, Sage's successor in the comics is Gotham cop Renee Montoya, so it could be more interesting to see her version of the vigilante lead The Question TV show instead. Renee has picked up quite the following since debuting in Batman: The Animated Series in the 1990s and she's another rare LGBT woman in DC's catalogue.
