10 TV Shows You Should Be Definitely Watching In 2014

1. Sherlock

The best ever adaptation of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle classics - by a long shot. Written and produced by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, this show has incredibly ground-breaking special effects, directing and amazing scripts to top it off. The beginning of 2014 saw the return of Sherlock, as season 3 brought us some amazing television moments that made it worth the two-year wait. If there is anything to critique Sherlock about, it's that there isn't enough of it! Season 4 is rumoured to air by Christmas this year and, while season 3's ending wasn't as big and hard-hitting a cliffhanger as season 2 was, it surely made for some wonderfully suspense-building television. What makes Sherlock a show with few flaws is its narrative. It isn't always easy to follow and doesn't provide the audience with answers straight away - it leaves you guessing and sometimes never gives you the answer in the end. Benedict Cumberbatch succeeds in reinventing the sleuth with a modern representation and Martin Freeman makes for an equally as good companion. Like this article?
