The tale of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), his slow, agonising transformation from lowly father to raging meth kingpin is a one for the ages, taking place over a phenomenal five seasons is immaculately told. Not one episode is wasted and no character ever feels weak, it all comes together in a nearly flawless manner, making it one of the most outstanding creative works ever produced.
The enormous attention to detail and careful crafting from Vince Gilligan and everyone involved rightfully earned them critical acclaim. The writing and acting combine to make memorable performances that provide an effortlessly balance of black humour, emotional moments and brutal breakdowns that reflect that nature.
We all remember the characters; Jesse Pinkman, Gustavo Fring, Mike Ehrmantraut, Saul Goodman. These are all masterful performances of the highest quality and they all serve the story in unique and interesting ways that send it racing off in a range of highly unpredictable directions.
