10 TV Shows That Aired Their Worst Ever Episode In 2015

8. Triggering - Girls

Original Air Date: January 18, 2015 Whatever way you look at it, Girls is an inherently irksome show. Its characters alternate between being downright insufferable and seriously annoying, but there's something about them - their realism, perhaps - that makes Lena Dunham's series so darn watchable. You never want to miss an episode, in that "watching a car crash" sort of way. Go figure. So whilst most Girls episodes are bound to give you at least a minor case of the frustrations, season four's Triggering offered up the worst episode of the show to date. The plot has Hannah in Iowa, getting to grips with her life away from New York City, which ultimately leads to her clashing with her fellow students in a writers' workshop. Pretty direction aside, Triggering fails as both a drama and a comedy; bad news for a show that wants to be both. It's neither funny or weighty - an episode without a real purpose. So it all actually winds up feeling like a cold and depressing slice of television; the kind of downbeat slump of an episode that might have you wondering whether to tune in the following week. Which is never a good feeling to have when it comes to Girls, a show that seems to straddles that "Am I done with this?" line on a continuous basis.
