10 TV Shows That Aired Their Worst Ever Episode In 2015

6. Chapter 33 - House Of Cards

Original Air Date: April 9, 2015 House of Cards' third season is generally thought to be its weakest to date; something to do with the fact that Frank Underwood is now the President of the United States and has reached his ultimate goal, perhaps? It served to kill a lot of the drama, that's for sure. That said, season three is still a relatively strong season, but there is one episode in particular that sticks out like a sore thumb - Chapter 33. It's almost certainly House of Cards' most ill-judged episode, something that becomes apparent as soon as you realise that it's going to mess around with the established structure of the show for no reason. That's to say, Chapter 33 opens with Frank and Claire renewing their vows, then jumps back in time to show how they got there, whilst also throwing in a random Doug Stamper storyline at the same time. It's a bit of a headache, to be honest, and an unnecessary embellishment. Trying to work out what's happening drains the episode of its watchability, and knowing that Frank and Claire make up before they do sucks out all the tension. All in all, it's the kind of episode you'd skip if you ever decided to go back and watch House of Cards for a second time - one of very few chapters that feels wholly inconsequential.
