10 TV Shows That Aired Their Worst Ever Episode In 2015
5. Of Course He's Dead - Two And A Half Men
Original Air Date: February 19, 2015 Sometimes a show gets to a point where even the people making it don't give a sh*t about it; they're just waiting for it to be over. That's the sense you get when you sit down to the final ever episode of Two and a Half Men, Of Course He's Dead, which is one of the most downright bizarre finales in the history of television. On one hand, it's the ballsiest episode of the show ever produced; it turns down the conventional "happy" ending you get with most long-running sitcoms of this kind, and - instead - goes for the overtly meta, making reference to Chuck Lorre's well-publicised feud with former star Charlie Sheen in the most unexpected way imaginable. Seriously: the show ends with "Charlie" (shot from behind with a double, because Charlie Sheen refused to come back for the finale) knocking on the front door, only for a grand piano to suddenly fall on his head. The camera then pulls back to reveal creator Chuck Lorre, who turns to the audience, says "Winning!" and is crushed by a second piano. It's f*cking nuts. Thing is, Two and a Half Men has never been one of those clever, meta-inclined shows in the sense that its final moment is. As such, Of Course He's Dead ultimately serves as a serious *f*ck you" to all the fans who actually watched the show for close to a decade, liked it, and genuinely wanted it to end in a fitting manner. Sorry, guys.
