10 TV Shows That Came Back From Cancellation

2. Jericho

Back in 2006, before the apocalypse was officially cool, a show called Jericho hit our screens. Set in the aftermath of a nuclear attack on America, the show followed the inhabitants of a town called Jericho as they try to rebuild their lives. It was broadcast on CBS and despite going on to be shown in more than 30 countries, it was cancelled after its first season due to poor ratings. Following news of the cancellation, an online fan campaign was launched in order to try and revive the show. This reportedly involved sending just over 20 tons of nuts to CBS headquarters in reference to a scene in the season 1 where a character repeats general Anthony McAuliffe's famous exclamation, "Nuts!", from the Battle of the Bulge. In the only known nut-related revival of a TV show, Jericho was renewed for a 2nd season of 7 episodes. The story continued after season 2 in the form of a comic book series.
