10 TV Shows That Chose The Wrong Main Character
1. The Big Bang Theory - Everyone
Who It Was
Over the course of its far too long run, The Big Bang Theory has turned into a show about a group of people who spend every waking moment of the day together despite clearly hating each other.
And it's not hard to see why they each constantly hurl insults at their friends. Even more so than Family guy, every main character on the show has degenerated into their most basic, gratingly annoying stereotypes. Sheldon's childishness and Howard's general creepiness are as insufferable as Leonard's and Raj's constant whining and Penny is still as boring and one-dimensional as when she was first introduced.
Who It Should Have Been
The only character who isn't utterly hateable is Kevin Sussman's Stuart, the kind-hearted but depressed owner of the comic store that the characters frequently visit. He was also briefly a part of the main cast, replacing Howard while he was aboard the International Space Station.
Stuart manages to combine the show's geeky humour with a character who actually has some positive traits and his problems running a failing store always seem more interesting than the rest of the casts "struggles" of being a successful scientist and also having an attractive girlfriend.
The Big Bang Theory could also do with some more of Kevin Sussman's on point facial expressions to add some more actual comedy to the show.
