10 TV Shows That Deserve Comic Book Continuations

I remember when the Sci-Fi network used to stand for something: showing actual science fiction programming. Then SyFy came around and started showing these ghost shows and reality competitions that have reduced the channel to a shell of its former self. Needless to say, €œAlphas€ was one of the few sci-fi shows left on the channel, and it didn€™t make it past two seasons. The premise was typical of any superhero shows: a group of people with extraordinary abilities come together to fight against those who would harm the world. This time, however, they were under the direction of scientist Dr. Lee Rosen, who sought to understand the complexities of the Alphas and bring them together to learn about their abilities. In the last episode, 150 year old villain Stanton Parish set photo-simulators in New York City in an attempt to start his war between the Alphas and the humans. When one of the simulators goes off in Grand Central, everyone is affected except Gary. Yet then the show ended, leaving the viewers utterly confused. Maybe it€™s just because I want to stick it to SyFy, but I do believe that €œAlphas€ deserves a second chance. This show never got a fair chance from the network, and considering that it involves individuals with extraordinary abilities, it€™s tailor-made to work as a comic book. I€™m curious to see what causes people to develop Alpha abilities, as well as find out what happened to New York. The dream, though? A crossover between €œAlphas€ and Heroes!€
