10 TV Shows That Deserved To Become Cult Hits (That Didn't)
3. Future Man
After putting a spotlight onto many a brilliant display of sci-fi and comedy television that more than deserved to earn cult classic status over the course of this list, this next entry actually combines both of those elements to produce something that undeniably warranted more love than it ultimately received.
Showing up on Hulu from 2017-2020, Future Man tells the story of a janitor named Josh who suddenly gets roped into a world-changing, time-travelling adventure on the back of finally beating the Biotic Wars video game.
One hell of an awkward first meet with that game's real-life main characters Wolf and Tiger later, Josh is soon thrust into one of the most consistently outrageous and unexpected doses of hilarious sci-fi you'll find out there.
Despite some of the most effortless comedic performances of recent times making Future Man the sort of show you can easily find yourself swiftly becoming addicted to, Josh Hutcherson in particular excels as the likeable protagonist trying to make sense of the madness unfolding around him, the series' always insane three seasons have largely flown under the radar.
And while there are definitely a few dedicated corners of Reddit that will happily continue to fly the Future Man flag, this Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg executive produced riot still hasn't levelled up to the rank of undisputed cult hit... yet.
