10 TV Shows That Just Got Cancelled

7. Katy Keene

Im Not Okay With This
The CW

One of the two Archieverse shows on this list, Katy Keene strived to become the 'little show that could' during its brief run on the air, pushing boundaries, opening doors and inspiring us all to achieve our dreams. Unfortunately, when you film in New York City, there was nothing little about the budget.

In spite of the fact that it was a direct spinoff of Riverdale and starred the brilliant Lucy Hale, the show struggled to find an audience rather early on. You could cite the fact that people had tuned out of Riverdale over the years so why would they tune into the spin-off, but the show was never going to receive the kind of love that its parent show did simply because it didn't stream internationally on Netflix - which is what made Riverdale the global juggernaut that it is.

Katy Keene was an uplifting gem that felt like it belonged to the previous decade of chase-your-dreams dramedies, and perhaps that's what helped it stand out. It goes without saying that the show, Lucy Hale and the whole cast deserved another chance.
