10 TV Shows That Kickstarter Should Help Revive As Films

10. Twin Peaks (1990-1991)

Twin PeaksThe TV Show: For two seasons, the world was taken on a psychedelic ride through the mind of director David Lynch. What started off as a simple, yet very quirky, story about the hunt for a murderer in a small Pacific Northwestern town turned into a dreamlike stroll through the human subconscious, where nothing was even close to what it seemed and everyone was far stranger than you could possibly imagine. Well before people were asking who killed Rosie Larsen, everyone wanted to know who killed Laura Palmer. But when the answer arrived, nobody was sure they really wanted to know. The Film: Twin Peaks did eventually turn out the spin-off prequel film Fire Walk With Me, but it's high time we revisit the not-so-sleepy hamlet and see what everyone's up to these days. Perhaps a new murder--strangely similar to the Laura Palmer case?--brings (almost) everyone back together for a new Lynchian nightmare than no viewer can ever predict and no critic can ever explain.

Peter lives in Albuquerque with the three loves of his life: his lady, his cat, and his large library of books. When he's not acting on stage, on film, or writing on his laptop, he can generally be found on the porch with his nose buried in a book and a tall glass of whatever's cold in his hand.
