10 TV Shows That Kickstarter Should Help Revive As Films

5. The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993-1994)

Bruce CampbellThe TV Show: B-Movie God Bruce Campbell starred as the titular Brisco County, Jr. in this genre-bending series about a fella in an alternate Old West looking to avenge the murder of his U.S. Marshall father by notorious outlaw John Bly. This decidedly western-themed plot was peppered with grand elements of science fiction and steampunk with the presence of the mysterious time-traveling "orb" and the inventions of eccentric scientist Professor Wickwire. The show gathered a devoted fan-base but never enough general audience to make it past a single season. The Film: Bruce Campbell is still a beloved film personality and his fans want to see him tackle another starring role (just not, for the love of god, a sequel to My Name Is Bruce€). With a revived box office interest in both the sci-fi and western genres, a Brisco County film would be sure to find its own cult status. Since it's been almost 20 years since the showed aired, though, a Kickstarter campaign would be necessary to let studios know that the story is definitely wanted, dead or alive. € Well, alive, preferably.
