4. Quantum Leap (1989-1993)
The TV Show: Dr. Sam Becket is a man from the future who gets involved with an experiment gone wrong, hurdling him through time in a divine effort to "put right what once went wrong." Guiding him throughout his adventures is Al, a colleague from the future who appears to Sam as a hologram, helping him determine what wrong he's meant to right in any given time and place. The show ran for a successful five seasons before reaching its conclusion in 1993 with an unforgettable finale and spawned a number of novels and comic books that furthered the story.
The Film: Oh, boy! How cool would a Quantum Leap movie be? Some people (this guy definitely among them) think that the show could even be successfully redeveloped as a new series, but a film might kick things off to an even better start. Scott Bakula still has some going power (his stint on Chuck was memorable, to say the least), but even if he didn't want to star in it for some reason, there might be a way to introduce the son or daughter of Sam Beckett in a modern setting, perhaps searching through time and space for his missing father. Oh, boy, indeed!
