Shannen Doherty has a reputation in Hollywood as an actress who loved to party and drink and would often arrive late to set. She also had some feuds with major cast mates, which caused rifts behind the scenes. She worked on Beverly Hills, 90210, for four seasons before taking an early and sudden exit. Some time later, with her next TV project, history repeated itself.

In 1998, Doherty was cast as Prue Halliwell, one of the three original sisters of the show, alongside Alyssa Milano's Phoebe Halliwell and Holly Combs' Piper Halliwell. Despite initially being on friendly terms, Doherty and Milano didn't get on during filming the show. The rift in the pair grew so bad that Milano demanded her on-screen sister be fired.

Doherty realised she was being turned on, and quit before producers could fire her. Although the Season Three left Prue and Piper's fate ambiguous after being attacked by a demon, Season Four revealed that only Piper survived her injuries. Her absence was filled by Rose McGowan in subsequent seasons, who went on to play half-sister Paige Matthews.

Though things may not have ended well for her tenure on Charmed, however, Doherty and Milano have put their feud far behind them now and all is right with the world again.

Still, it's interesting to think where the show would be had Prue been made it to the end.
