8. Band of Brothers
Steven Spielberg's epic miniseries felt like what Saving Private Ryan should have. It had the right tone and captured the brutal horror of war that Spielberg's film failed to do outside of the first twenty minutes. The huge cast starred names such as David Schwimmer, Simon Pegg, Michael Fassbender, Stephen Graham, Colin Hanks and Damian Lewis and they told an intimate story on an epic scale. Band of Brothers is one of the most ambitious projects in television history, with a large cast, extensive crew and monumental budget and it lived up to the hype as it is 10 of the most impressive and exhilarating episodes of television you will ever see.
