7. The Charmings (1987 - 1988), 21 episodes
So a historical comedy, eh... not so much. But TV executives had trod this territory before... sort of. They'd taken medieval fairy-tale characters and transported them into the modern era in a series called The Charmings. Yes, it was Snow White and her family living in the modern world and dealing with modern things, like bored and annoyed audiences! I actually have vague memories of watching this series when it aired and recall a lame joke about Tupperware. That is the only memory I have of it, and I know I watched a lot of the series. How anyone thought this was a good idea, or how it would sustain itself more than a few episodes, is beyond me.
