6. Homeboys In Outer Space (1996 - 1997), 21 episodes
You know what the world really needs? Science-fiction sitcoms. But unless your name is Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Robert Llewellyn or Danny John-Jules, you should never, ever attempt to do them. Especially if you're an American. This really was scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's like someone at UPN saw Red Dwarf and thought, "Can we black that up a bit? Oh, and in the process, let's excise all the funny parts." I remember watching this show back when it aired, which says less about the quality of the show than it does about what a weird time the mid-1990s were for me. Despite the overall horribleness of the show, I will say that it did manage to attract an impressive list of guest stars, including John Astin, Gary Coleman, James Doohan, George Takei and - at least according to Wikipedia - Anthony Hopkins. What the heck?
