10 TV Shows That Should’ve Been Awesome (But Utterly Failed)

1. Arrested Development (Season 4)

Rsz 1rsz Ads4 When I say Arrested Development, Lord knows I don't mean the series in it's entirety. Everyone and their elbow knows the joy that Seasons 1-3 brought to the masses, and the way it impacted on American comedy. No, I mean the fateful season 4 that debuted earlier this year. The long-awaited Season 4 was bound to experience myriad negative reviews if just because of the prolific nature of what came before it, and the period of time over which fans built their expectations and excitement. Sadly the show's production seemed wracked with problems as, due to many of the actor's schedules, many of them filmed their parts separately. A large part of Arrested Development's humour relies on the awkward tensions between the characters, so it would be necessary to have them in the same room at the same time. It's easy to tell that the actors weren't bouncing this off each other like the audience is used to, and so the comedy definitely suffered. Season 4 was by no means awful in and of itself, but as a continuation of the legend that was, Arrested Development Season 4 was a failure.

Fan of Taylor Swift and the Dead Kennedys (a duet I can only dream of). I like dystopias, slasher films, and video games that make me feel things.
