Admittedly, having 24 on HBO would be a pretty unique challenge for the network. For one thing, there is the whole issue of having 24 episode seasons on a channel that usually caps it shows at around 8-12. Then you've got the small problem of somehow finding the money to fund that many episodes and have them equal the production quality that HBO is known for. But so long as we're dealing with fantasy here, the prospect of 24 on HBO is enticing.

HBO has never really had a high-octane action show of this type and the prospect of the PG-13 world of 24 taking more cues from the world of rated R action does also mean a greater chance of not having to deal with more outlandish plots involving cougar attacks, and instead getting more of those sweet, sweet "Jack Bauer goes nuts on a terrorist suspect with garden tools" moments that really kept us tuned in.
