10 TV Shows With Plot Points That Go NOWHERE
5. Lost - Jack And Ana's Army
Claiming that the classic TV series Lost was a bag of directionless and irrelevant plotlines is like calling a spade a spade. The show was brilliant but filled to the brim with weird mysteries that either didn't get solved or just led to more questions. One of the most aggravating of these had to be Jack and Ana Lucia's "army".
During the episode "The Hunting Party", the island survivors' clash with The Others came to a dramatic head as Jack and a crew went to confront them, but found themselves in a tight pinch as The Others had a gagged and bound Kate as a hostage.
After getting her back - in exchange for dropping their weapons - Jack went to ex-cop Ana Lucia and set a plan in motion to "train an army". This seemed like a great move as by training the other islanders to fight, they could go from hunted to hunters. Things looked set for the battle over island supremacy to get kicked up a notch, but the army never came to fruition.
The next few episodes explained that they tried, but no one was interested, meaning this possibly explosive plotline went out like a wet firecracker.
