10 TV Shows You Didn't Know Shared The Same Sets

9. Once Upon A Time And Riverdale

Apparently, every respected town in America needs one thing: a grand town hall building. As an English person, I learnt this from American TV. Usually the building is big and powerful in stature. And weirdly they usually look like a house on the outside, but on the inside they look more like a government building. TV town hall buildings definitely take after The White House - whether or not that is what real town halls are like... you'd have to ask an American.

The ironic thing is, this town hall building is actually... from Canada. Now, any movie or TV fan could tell you that the new up and coming filming location is Vancouver, Canada. Some of your favourite shows/films were unbeknownst to you, filmed in Vancouver - including the hit fairy-tale inspired show Once Upon A Time and the teen CW series Riverdale.

It's hard to imagine that the two shows have anything in common, one show is rooted in reality (no matter how distorted that reality is) and one is based on the lives of all your favourite fairy-tale characters. But, through the curse that sends all your favourite Disney princes and princesses to a land without magic, we get a location that is eerily similar to the town of Riverdale. When both shows start, the respected towns are both described as sleepy, rural, American towns. And the locations look as much. With quaint little houses on picturesque streets, to beautiful wooded areas and adorable little lakes for scenes to take place. And one major similarity: The Big Yellow Town Hall.

The government building plays a major role in both shows and it's hard not to let your mind wander: what if they both existed in the same universe? It would sure make sense as to why there was so much evil in Riverdale: they were cursed by The Evil Queen!

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
