Not one, not two but three shows used this set! By far the most iconic use of this real life Los Angeles bar was in New Girl, as it was probably the second most used set in the show after the iconic loft. The bar is called The Prince and is instantly recognisable because of its wallpaper. Now you're probably thinking... its wallpaper is the most distinguishable feature? It's a bar!

Yes, its wallpaper is what makes it recognisable. It's also the reason why the bar works for all three of the tv shows that use the bar: Mad Men, New Girl and American Crime Story: The People Vs OJ Simpson. An astute person would instantly pick up on the fact that these three shows take place in 3 completely different decades! That's why the wallpaper is so important.

In Mad Men, a season 5 episode sees Joan and Don sneak off to a bar during work, behind them we see the iconic wallpaper, and it works perfectly for the 60s time period. When we see the bar again in American Crime Story, the year is 1995 and the legal team for OJ Simpson wind down in a bar after a long day's work. The bar looks no different and yet it still fits perfectly within the year it's set. And then you have New Girl, Nick works at the familiar wallpaper clad bar, named The Griffin, and eventually goes on to become co-owner with his best friend Schmidt. Even CeCe works there for a while! Again the bar's look fits in great with the show's quirky aesthetic. The wallpaper seems to magically fit all three shows; just like the jeans from Sisterhood of The Travelling Pants.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
