5. Supernatural (First Six Seasons)
Supernatural is nearing the end of its fifteen season run. While the show sort of petered out after a while, the first six seasons are truly premium television. Streaming on Netflix, the show centers around two brothers, Sam and Dean, who hunt creepy crawlies. Every creature you can imagine is real in this universe, from vampires and ghosts, to werewolves and demons. The beasts are truly horrifying, and while it is not a show about getting scared, some of the monsters are bone chilling.
Each episode has a freak of the week type feel, and there are many horrifying and captivating monsters to be found throughout. The aspect that keeps the show so addicting is the overall story that plays out in between the hunting of various creatures. This story quickly becomes the star, and in the later seasons is the main ingredient over the freak of the week style.
The ending of season six acts as a semi ending, it raps the show up nicely, but left it open ended enough to continue its run. While their is plenty of entertainment found in the following seasons, the first six are shockingly great, and are a must watch.
