10 TV Universes That Make No Sense

3. Stranger Things

Twin Peaks
Netflix

The root to all of Stranger Things' problems comes back to one thing, one character, one number: Eleven.

Eleven may have been the reason why the Stranger Things craze started, but she's also the reason why the Netflix series has rumbled up a debate about the logistics of the science within the show.

The series revolves around the after-effects of a sketchy government experiment in the 1980s, and it follows a bunch of different characters that inhabit the town of Hawkins, Indiana. One of these characters is the psychically gifted teenager, Eleven. Eleven is the reason all of the supernatural ongoings in Hawkins began, with her powers, she managed to tear a hole in the multiverse and accidentally let in a bunch of terrifying monsters.

But the thing is, the show is very fast and loose when it comes to explaining how Eleven managed to do this. All we've had in lieu of explanation are confusing lab flashbacks and a broad example of "radiowaves". The show is highly entertaining if you're watching from the surface level, but if you try digging for any kind of clarification you're only gonna come out more muddled.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
