Helga and Arnold are endgame. Let's repeat that. Helga and Arnold are endgame. Helga finally confesses her feelings to Arnold in the Hey Arnold movie, and had the sequel not been cancelled, Arnold would have reciprocated. It gives stalkers everywhere hope. Sure Helga loves him, but she's not just in love with him -- she's obsessed. How else could you possibly describe a nine year old who writes love poetry about a boy in her class and keeps a shrine of him in her closet made out of used bubble gum? That's horrifying. Not only that, she's verbally abusive to him and goes to great lengths to sabotage his relationships with other girls, especially Lilah. It just seems a little too neat and tidy that after everything Helga has put the world through during her infatuation with Arnold, that the two characters should actually end up together. Maybe she does a lot of growing up over the years, and there's genuine attraction there, but like...how is she ever going to tell him how creepily she stalked him when they were kids?
