10 Unintentionally Funny Moments In Game Of Thrones

9. Cersei's Walk Of Atonement

Cersei was one of the easiest characters to hate in Game of Thrones, and though it was hard not to feel some level of pity for her as she walked naked through the streets of King’s Landing, her walk of atonement was long overdue.

However, despite Lena Headey’s faultless performance, her acting was hard to focus on due to Septa Unella saying ‘shame’ over and over again. Though not amusing at first, after almost five minutes of her chanting it’s hard to keep a straight face.

The scene was made still more amusing by Unella’s relentless bell ringing. In contrast to the jeering crowd, the bell sounded totally out of place.

Had Unella been removed from this scene it would have had much more emotional weight. Sadly, it’s impossible to take Cersei’s walk of atonement seriously, particularly with repeated viewings.
