10 Upcoming TV Shows That Will Break The Internet

When an existing property is revisited, dusted down and rebooted, it tends to indicate a lack of ideas from those calling the shots, with said revisit at times resulting in an end product that does nothing but tarnish the reputation of what's gone before.

While it remains to be seen how this year's Bel-Air show will turn out, the early buzz around the show is certainly promising.

Landing on Peacock this February, Bel-Air features the same characters you know and love from the iconic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, yet this is a vastly different show to its predecessor. Co-written and directed by Morgan Cooper - whose 2019 faux trailer for Bel-Air inspired this fresh take on an old favourite - and produced by Will Smith, Bel-Air puts a dramatic spin on the loose premise of the '90s show.

Starring Jabari Banks as Will, there's a far more serious tone to the lead character's troubled past in Philadelphia and subsequent move to Los Angeles to stay with his Uncle Phil (Adrian Holmes) and Aunt Viv (Cassandra Freeman).

Given how Bel-Air was fought over by Netflix, HBO Max, Peacock and other platforms, there's a belief that this should be a monster of a show; a belief backed up by Peacock already commissioning a second season.

The simple fact that Bel-Air is giving a fresh lick of paint to such a beloved IP, that means it's guaranteed to have the internet talking one way or another.
