8. Tortured Like Loki Himself
In this show, the choices you make/the people you kill can have massive consequences, and the perpetual joker Floki found that out the hard way. What makes this horrible torture all the worse is that it's so poetically ironic, as Floki's idol - Loki - suffered the same horrid fate.
After killing Athelstan, Floki was punished by being chained up in a cave, naked, with no ability to rest. While that sucks enough in itself, he also had water constantly dripping onto his face, a brutal exercise in psychological torture. Helga also had a part to play, as she took on the role of Loki's wife, Sigyn, holding a bucket over Floki's head to catch the water whenever she could.
Of course, this torture was only the beginning, as Floki was soon stabbed in the chest with the news that his daughter Angroboda had died of fever. Although he'd never been much of a father to her, this additional crushing torment took its toll.
The thought of continuing to live in such misery was likely the farthest thing from his mind, and if he had the choice, he would indeed have welcomed death instead.
