10 Ways Breaking Bad Could Continue

3. Breaking Gus

Jumping back even further, we could see a series starring Giancarlo Esposito that details the rise of Gus Fring from mysterious Chilean national to meth kingpin. Gus was often painted as a dark visage of Walter's own deep-rooted villain-in-waiting, two sides of the same coin that were thrown together. Pieces of Gus' foggy past were brought up numerous times on Breaking Bad, including the death of his partner Maximino Arciniega, at the hands of Hector Salamanca. Fans have often speculated that Max and Gus were lovers, something that could be brought up in the series. All of these things were combined to create the dense layer of mist that was Gus' past, giving him a sense of mystery that even series creator Vince Gilligan kept very close to the vest. Though he has recently indicated that there is a very concrete backstory for Gus that is sitting inside someone's head, meaning that the story potential to learn more about him is there. It would be absolutely riveting to see the transformation that Gus went through to be the man we saw in Breaking Bad, and having more Giancarlo Esposito on our TV is never a bad thing.
