10 Ways To Save Family Guy

3. Develop Characters Outside The Family

It seems as if we're getting less and less of Chris and Meg by the day, no doubt because Mila Kunis and Seth Green are busy, busy actors who have a lot of projects on the go. With Seth MacFarlane voicing Peter, Brian, Stewie, and Quagmire, they'll always be around. Patrick Warburton's Joe seems to be holding his own, Lois is always present and Cleveland is back, but how about some new characters? It's not easy, but it can be done (South Park added Butters, Timmy, etc., after all), even this late in the series. Keep the show fresh. Do a Joe episode, or a Quagmire episode, or anything that keeps things interesting. Bring in some new blood. It doesn't have to me overwhelming, just a gradual influx of new faces, and episodes focused on old familiars who haven't had a lot of screen time to date. It has worked in the past - remember the affair between Mayor West and Meg?
