Regardless of whether its a spin-off or a prequel, and regardless of any change in character, locale or setting, its important that the centre of the show remain Sons Of Anarchy. Lets not forget what drew everyone to this show in the first place: humour blacker than the crows that bookend it, partnered with intense, visceral melodrama and sudden fearless violence, and characters that defy categorisation or convention. All the best continuations of successful shows forge ahead with their own identity while never losing sight of where they came from and how it is that theyve come about. Given that Kurt Sutter seems constitutionally incapable of compromise, it seems pretty clear that should Sons Of Anarchy return in any format and at any time, itll retain the same storytelling integrity it had before.
