8. Post-Trauma Makeover
On Veronica Mars: In the aftermath of her sexual assault and the corrupt sheriff's subsequent refusal to investigate her report of the attack, Veronica chops off her romantic flowing locks and ditches the demure pastels in favor of a shoulder-length bob and quirky thrift shop-esque wardrobe. With her new look and demoted social status, Veronica becomes jaded and cynical about her peers as well as life outside of Neptune High. On iZombie: In the aftermath of the massacre at the boat party, Liv chops a few inches off of her auburn hair and allows it to go full-on zombie white. She even chooses to embrace her deathly pallor over bothering with bronzer or self-tanner. Rather than share her cannibalistic secret, Liv distances herself from her friends and family while giving little explanation for her abandonment of a career in medicine for the sake of assisting the medical examiner in a morgue.
